Although Nietzsche's greatness is more universally recognized today than ever, the nature of that greatness is still not widely understood, and this is a shame. Before discussing Good and Evil (hereafter BGE) in detail, I must make some general observations about his work, its development, and its genre. I'm always a bit skeptical of this book, but only if it seems to consider itself a publisher of Nietzsche (I always say this about Kaufmann because it should be clear from the outset).
